| What is happening in 2007...
We, the volunteers serving on this subdivision's Architectural Control Committee, are in considering getting the Committee converted into an HOA (Home Owners Association).
To get this accomplished we need your help. The action requires a 65% positive vote from all homeowners in the Bridle Pass subdivision.
You may ask, what is in there for me? Aren't there going to be more rules and regulations? Isn't this going to cost me a lot?
Well, let us answer some of the most frequently asked questions.
More rules and regulations? NO
There will be no change in rules and regulations in your covenants, unless you feel by a majority of votes there should be any added. Your covenant came as a binding contract with the purchase of your home, so everything will stay the same.
The only difference by converting into a HOA will be that we will have funds to enforce these already existing regulations to protect your rights as an owner.
In other words, if an issues arises, that is brought our attention by a resident and needs to be addressed, but after two notices from the committee, is not resolved, we have the necessary financial means to go a step further.
What will it cost me?
Approximately $50-$75 a year, which is less than renting 15 movies at your local store.
What is in it for me?
Aside from the financial help to ensure that your property rights are respected in any way we can, we will improve our neighborhood, we intend to sponsor fun activities that will help build relationships within our neighborhood community, we will give you an opportunity to advertise your home based business, we will supply you with news of our neighborhood, we will have online resources with coupons, rebates and information on what is going on in Colorado Springs, we intend to advocate a neighborhood watch and inform you of any suspicious activities in our neighborhood, we will be a place to connect... in other words we will help create a neighborhood where you can feel safe, which will keep your property value stable or increase it, where you can be as much involved as you want to be!
In the coming weeks we will be conducting a survey to get a better understanding of your needs and opinions before we will ask for your vote.
Your input is vital and very much appreciated!
